Tripura govt eases lockdown restrictions in several sectors

Tripura government on Sunday announced lockdown relaxation in several sectors and allowed a number of industries to operate with effect from Monday (April 20). “In pursuance of the Order …dated April 15, 20, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has allowed selected permitted activities to be operated w.e.f April 20, 2020 based on strict compliance to the existing guidelines on lockdown measures and subject to ensuring all preparatory arrangements with respect to social distancing,” a memorandum of the state government stated. According to the memorandum, manufacturing of fertilizers, pesticides, seeds and operation of tea coffee and rubber plantations with a maximum of 50 per staff have been permitted to operate with effect from Monday.
