Minor girl injured in IED explosion in Manipur Imphal West district
A powerful explosion rocked Manipur’s Imphal West district on Thursday leaving a minor girl injured. The injured girl was rushed to a hospital.
According to the police, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blew off in front of a clothes shop at the Lalambung Makong area on RIMS road at around 4.55 am on Thursday.
The police suspects that militants of a banned outfit were behind the explosion.
Following the explosion, top police officials and other security personnel rushed to the area and began an investigation.
Security was beefed up in the area and an operation has been launched to nab the militants.
