3 Covid-19 patients discharged from hospitals, total 12 recovered in Assam

Three more Covid-19 patients were discharged from two hospitals in Assam on Saturday. With this, a total of 12 Covid-19 patients have been discharged from various hospitals in the state so far. On Saturday, two Covid-19 patients were discharged from Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) in Guwahati and one patient from Silchar Medical College Hospital (SMCH) in presence of Assam Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and junior minister Pijush Hazarika.

“After the patients completed 3-4 successive tests and the results came negative, doctors have declared them cured and so they are now discharged from the hospitals. So far, 12 patients have been discharged from the hospitals,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said. Out of the three patients who were discharged, two are from Uttar Pradesh and they came to Nalbari district in Assam after attending the Nizamuddin Markaz event. Earlier, nine other Covid-19 patients were discharged from Sonapur Covid-19 hospital, Goalpara civil hospital and Golaghat civil hospital.

Assam has reported 34 positive cases for Covid-19 and one death due to the deadly new virus so far.
