FCI transports 38,000 MT rice to Meghalaya

The Food Corporation of India (FCI) has transported 38,000 metric tons of rice under the Public Distribution System (PDS) and Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) to Meghalaya. This was informed by Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma on Monday. The chief minister also said the food quota for the month of April under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) as well as Non-NFSA has been distributed. Informing this on his Twitter handle, chief minister Sangma said: “The food quota for April, 2020 for NFSAs as well as Non-NFSA has been distributed. FCI has transported 38,000 MT of food grains to Meghalaya under PDS and PMGKAY.”
