Newly inducted Minister Awangbow gets forest, environment portfolio

Newly sworn-in minister Awangbow Newmai who represents Tamei Assembly constituency in Manipur’s Tamenglong district, has been allotted the portfolios of Forest, Environment & Climate change and sericulture, according to official sources.

The state chief secretary Dr J Suresh Babu has issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday. Consequently, the notification also mentions the portfolios allocated to the state chief minister N Biren Singh.

According to it, chief minister will be in charge of Home,Personnel planning,GAD,Vigilance,Transport,Minor irrigation,Tourism,Minority affairs,OBC & SC, InformationTechnology, Finance,Horticulture & Soil conservation, MAHUD,Science & Technology,Economics & Statistics and any other departments not allocated specifically
